Inga Behrendt is professor of Gregorian Chant and hymnology at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik der Diözese Rottenburg-Stuttgart in Rottenburg. She is also a research fellow at the Musicology Institute of the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and a member of the research team Cantus Ultimus (McGill University Montreal). Behrend has been a member of the board of the German speaking section of the AISCGre since 2007 and active member of the study group of the „Arbeitskreis Melodierestitution“ since 2003. Her male Schola Uncinus is dedicated to disclose the theological-spiritual dimension of the Gregorian repertoire through an interpretation according to semiological principles. Last recording: Conceptio per aurem / Hören über Grenzen (2017, Schwabenverlag). Behrendt has been elected into the Consiglio Direttivo Internazionale in June 2019.
