[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]His early studies at the choir school of the Benedictine Abbey of Santa Cruz del Valle de los Ca\u00eddos were continued at the Royal Conservatoire in Madrid. He is a contributor to the R\u00e9pertoire International des Sources Musicales\u00a0<\/em>(RISM); he has published numerous articles on the C\u00f3dice de Madrid<\/em> and the Las Huelgas Codex<\/em>, and he has published a monograph for Alianza Editorial entitled El Canto Gregoriano<\/em>. Asensio continues to collaborate with the At\u00ealier de Pal\u00e9ographie Musicale <\/em>at Solesmes and in Salamanca he served as Professor of Musicology at the Royal Conservatoire.<\/p>\n Asensio currently holds dual appointments as Professor of Musicology at both Barcelona\u2019s Escola Superior de M\u00fasicade Catalunya<\/em> and Madrid\u2019s Royal Conservatoire. He has directed Schola Antiqua <\/em>since 1996 and since 2001 he has been a member of the Consiglio Direttivo of AISCGre.
